Re: Linux compilation with g++

Christiaan Simons
Dear Alan,

Note the contrib/ports/unix gz release  is out of sync with the current
lwip release.
The best thing you can try is to use anonymous CVS access to the savannah
repository.

For linux this is trivial, you probably allready have all tools installed
(SSH + CVS),
and you need to be sure your firewall isn't blocking the SSH ports.

Create a work dirictory and type:

export CVS_RSH=ssh
cvs -d:ext:[hidden email]:/cvsroot/lwip checkout lwip
cvs -d:ext:[hidden email]:/cvsroot/lwip checkout contrib

(If SSH asks about authenticity of the host, you can check the key
 fingerprint against http://savannah.nongnu.org/cvs/?group=lwip)

Then you get a local copy of the HEAD version of the lwip and contrib
modules.
These should build ok on 2.6 Gentoo or 3.x OpenBSD.

Also, please post these sort of questions directly to the lwip-users list.
